You frequently ask us:

  • How do I choose the right size?

The Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup comes in two sizes. The smaller Light (ø 42 mm) is ideal for women with a strengthened pelvic floor or for days when your period is lighter. Its volume is about the same as two or three standard tampons. The Classic size (ø 45 mm) is better suited to women after childbirth or for days when your period is heavier, like at the start. It catches the same amount of blood as three or four standard tampons.

Because some women like to switch sizes during their period, we also offer a discounted Duo Pack with both sizes. You can use the bigger one for the start of your period and the smaller one for the end, or simply however you need.

  • What is the Cup made of?

The Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup is made of 100% medical-grade silicone, which is hypoallergenic, nontoxic, and safe. It meets the highest possible hygiene standards and is very easy to take care of.

  • How does the Cup differ from others on the market?

In developing the Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup, we went to great lengths to ensure it was flawlessly functional, comfortable, and truly beautiful. We continuously consulted the details of the product with the founder of the website kalisek.cz, Ilona Bittnerová, and also subjected it to thorough testing.

Particularly exceptional is the shape of the Cup, which holds a surprisingly large quantity of blood without losing its charm. The Cup is soft to the touch, almost velvety. It’s sufficiently pliable but also stiff enough to keep it from leaking at times of increased physical activity or during sleep.

We rounded out the Cup with a soft ball that doesn’t cause any discomfort and makes removal a breeze. And what’s more, the Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup is red. We know blood isn’t blue, and we take menstruation for what it is. We wanted to create an intimate product that women would love that would make them look forward to their period at least a little.

  • How often does the Cup have to be changed?

The Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup needs to be emptied at least once every 12 hours. If this is your first time using a menstrual cup, you’ll want to also use a pad just in case. Within a few days, you’ll have a much clearer idea of how heavy your period is and will be using the Cup without any difficulty whatsoever.

  • What care does the Cup require?

All you need to do before using the Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup for the first time is sterilize it in boiling water. After wearing the Cup for eight to twelve hours, you just remove it, empty it and rinse it with clean water, and reinsert it. Once your period has ended, simply sterilize the Cup again either in boiling water or with another suitable method.

To make sure your Cup gets the care it deserves, we’ve created our own Whoop·de·doo cleaning spray for intimate aids, which you can find in our online store.

  • What do I do if the Cup leaks?

The most common cause of leaking is incorrect insertion. It takes a little practice. If you’re sure you’re doing it right, you might just need a different size – the Cup is likely too small for you, which you can tell if it moves around, can be easily turned, or you can push it out. If this is the case, try the larger Cup.

If you are already using the larger Cup, the problem might be due to weakened pelvic floor muscles. Use the Cup together with a pad and focus on strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor, by wearing Venus balls, for example, or doing Kegel exercises.

  • How long will the Cup last?

If used properly and with care, the Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup can last up to ten years. We guarantee it for five years, during which you’ll reduce the burden to the planet by 1,200 single-use tampons and pads.

  • How is the Cup used?

It’s very easy – you’ll see for yourself. Each Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup comes with detailed instructions and a 100% Swiss Cotton storage pouch.

  • Is the Cup right for me?

The Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup is right for any woman wanting to take an active approach to her intimate health and have control over her period. Use of the Cup is not restricted by age or experience. The most important thing is the desire to try it.

  • Can I sleep with the Cup in and swim and do other sports too?

The Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup has been designed to not leak during sleep or increased physical activity. The material is sufficiently stiff to create a seal against the vaginal wall. When inserted correctly, suction prevents blood from leaking out.

We tested the Cup together with our yogi friends and even a professional dancer who frequently performs difficult acrobatic sequences. It passed with flying colours.
